Yesterday Jack had to have a cavity filled and because he's not the most mild tempered child, we had to have it done at the hospital. The hospital staff was amazing, but it was a rough day on both of us. Jack didn't recover very well from the anesthesia and screamed at everyone for a good hour while he woke up. I'm so thankful for my healthy children! I don't ever want to take my kids back there again!
"Don't get distracted with a lot of things that have no meaning for you or your family. Don't dwell on your failures, but think about your successes. Have joy in your home. Have joy in your children. Have joy in your husband. Be grateful for the journey."

Cooper is 8!
Cooper had a BIG birthday this year! He's so excited to finally be 8. He had a week long celebration. We spent a day together at a golf tournament, went to Lagoon, had a "Let's Make a Deal" birthday party, and then on his actual birthday we went to the Salem Days parade, Brick Oven for lunch and had a party with the Nelson's that night. This kid is sure loved!
Road Trip!
Ready to go to St. George and then to California!
We stopped to visit the animals at the petting zoo in Scipio.
Cooper and Derek went to an Angel's game in Anaheim our first night in California. Jack and I decided to soak up some Disney magic in Downtown Disney. As a Disneyland fanatic, it was verging on painful to be there without a ticket to get in. Once I realized just how lucky I was to even be spending an evening in Downtown Disney it ended up being a lot of fun. Jack and I bought some kettle corn and did some people watching just outside the gates.
Cub Scout Day Camp
I have two callings in our new ward. One is teaching Cooper's primary class with Derek (I LOVE being back in primary!) and the other is being a den leader. To be completely honest, Cub Scouts would have never been my first choice, but the boys are great and I'm really trying to learn from the experence and make the most out of it. Cooper even was lucky enough to go to day camp with us even though he was still only 7.
