"Don't get distracted with a lot of things that have no meaning for you or your family. Don't dwell on your failures, but think about your successes. Have joy in your home. Have joy in your children. Have joy in your husband. Be grateful for the journey."

Black and Blue
You wouldn't know it from the smile in this picture, but Jack took quite the spill at Cooper's t-ball game tonight. He walked right in front of a kid on the swings and took a horrible hit to his head. Derek and I were close enough to see it happen, but too far away to do anything about it. Poor little kiddo is probably going to be very black and blue tomorrow. Breaks his mama's heart!

Snack Time
Most kids beg for marshmallows and Fruit Loops for a snack. Jacks treat of choice lately...
KIDNEY BEANS!
Date Night!
After a crazy morning of having a yard sale, Coop and Derek took me on a date on Memorial Day. We had a fantastic time together. We went to the Cheesecake Factory, did a little shopping, and went to the Bees game. So. Much. Fun!
Best Day Ever
We didn't do anything extraordinary today, but it has definitely been one on the best days I've ever spent with my kids.
We did everything from washing the car, getting cupcakes, shopping for father's day, playing at the mall, going to the library, playing at the park, and having a picnic dinner. There was no agenda or expectations and it turned out to be the best day ever.
I love summer vacation!!
Cooper quote...
Cooper quote of the day...
"I look like Rickie Fowler on a Tuesday."
Coop is obsessed with the color orange because his favorite PGA golfer, Rickie Fowler, wears all orange on Sunday's during PGA tournaments. This is his new golf outfit, but because it isn't completely orange, Coop thinks it is only appropriate for a Tuesday.
I love how much Cooper loves everything about golf. Really, how many kids have Rickie Fowler and Lee Westwood as their idols.
He is such a fun kid!

Friday Fun
Yesterday was a busy day but we managed to have a lot of fun together. The rain ruined Derek and Coop's golf plans, so we spent the morning mowing lawns in the rain. It was actually kindof fun. After our yard work was finished, we decided to head to Provo and have lunch at Brick Oven. Yum!
The rest of our day was spent finishing up one of our bathroom projects and a trip to Home Depot. It took a lot of work to get all 3 of my boys off the riding lawn mowers. They would play on them for hours if I'd let them. When our work was done, we went to a "last day of school" party at Pam and Chad's house. The kids had so much fun and loved playing with their cousins. It made for a very fun day!

Less than exciting post...
Because I am terrible at keeping a journal and I don't scrapbook, I will probably post a lot of less-than-exciting pictures just to make myself feel less guilty for not really keeping a family history. This is certainly one of those types of posts.
Today the boys and I set out on an adventure. We had to pick up some campaign things in Alpine so we decided to keep driving and visit Derek. My boys love to see Derek and play in his office. We stole him for lunch and enjoyed spending a little time together.
This afternoon has been nice and mellow. I was able to get a project done for my mother-in-law's 5th grade class and the boys both enjoyed some quiet time.
Now we are off to deliver some birthday treats and then onto t-ball. So far, so good!

First day of summer...
Our first day of summer vacation would not be complete without corn on the cob. Yum!
Kindergarten Celebration!
Coop and I are celebrating his 100% score on his kindergarten assesment this afternoon. I guess I have to let him go to 1st grade now!

Graduation Day!
I am not sure how my baby became old enough to graduate from kindergarten! It has been a wonderful school year and we are so thankful for his amazing teacher, Mrs. Barnett.
We love you Cooper and are SO proud of you!
